The Department of Medicine includes hundreds of faculty, staff and trainees dedicated to advancing the field of biomedical science — from bench to bedside. We are recognized nationally for the excellence of our faculty, which includes members of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Medicine.
We are also known for the magnitude and breadth of our research productivity. Each year, the Department receives more than $230 million dollars of research funding, placing us among the best-funded Departments of Medicine research programs in the country.
