BIDMC also offers dedicated psychiatric support for clinicians and care providers, including fellows and residents, to ensure mental well-being while providing patient care.

Through a comprehensive range of continuing education programs, including faculty career guidance, academic support and clinical skill development, BIDMC provides the tools and resources clinicians, nurses, educators, researchers and post-doctoral scholars need to reach their full potential.

The Shapiro Simulation & Skills Center enhances this mission by offering state-of-the-art simulation experiences and hands-on training. Clinicians can refine procedural skills, practice complex scenarios and improve patient safety in a controlled, supportive environment. Together, BIDMC’s continuing education programs and simulation resources empower faculty and staff to deepen their expertise, advance their careers and deliver the highest quality care to patients.  

BIDMC Staff Resources

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) offers a wide range of resources designed to support the professional growth, resilience and well-being of our staff. These programs and services provide guidance, education and support to ensure a safe, ethical and collaborative work environment.

Center for Violence Prevention & Recovery: This center, housed within the Department of Social Work, offers resources and guidance for provider resiliencecrisis resources and workplace safety. Staff have access to expert support to address challenging situations and maintain personal and professional well-being.

Cheng Tsui Ethics Program: Available 24/7, the Cheng Tsui Ethics Program provides consultative services to help staff navigate complex ethical issues in patient care. This program offers guidance, education and support to foster thoughtful, patient-centered decision-making.

Patient-Family Advisors:  BIDMC encourages staff to engage with patient and family feedback. Our Patient Relations team and Patient-Family Advisors provide insights that help improve clinical care, patient experience and staff practices.
