Supporting professionals' delivery of care
At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), we understand the collection of tools, contacts and support needed to provide exceptional care. We prioritize the well-being of BIDMC’s physician community through ease of access to the resources essential for patient care, professional growth and provider resilience.
We also encourage you to enhance your skills and earn credentials through BIDMC’s Continuing Education & Professional Development resources.
Referring providers and practice staff, please refer to our Referring Providers page for detailed information on making referrals and supporting patient care across BIDMC services.
External providers may request patient medical records, including imaging scans and lab test results, by contacting BIDMC Health Information Management at 617-667-3710.
Postmortem examinations are performed Monday through Friday between 8 am and 3 pm, excluding holidays. Autopsies may be offered to any patient who was actively managed by a doctor associated with BIDMC at the time of death. Consent must be obtained by that doctor or covering doctor. For requests, page the autopsy resident on-call as soon as possible after the death; restrictions may apply and the resident must approve the request.
Visit Psychiatric Support for Clinicians to learn about psychiatric support services available to BIDMC clinicians. We also offer Provider Resiliency Training and Support to mitigate the impact of compassion fatigue when treating victims of violence and trauma.
