The Division of Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is dedicated to providing comprehensive, personalized care for patients at every stage of life. Our services range from routine annual exams and preventive screenings to the management of complex gynecologic conditions such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis and menopause symptoms.
Our experienced team of gynecologists uses the latest diagnostic tools and minimally invasive treatment options to ensure the highest quality of care. In addition to our service offerings, our clinicians help train the next generation of gynecologic specialists. We also host a variety of research initiatives to advance our understanding of gynecologic care.

The Center for Intimate Health and Wellness offers sensitive, holistic, multidisciplinary care for women with concerns about their intimate wellness. If patients would like to improve their sexual health and function, the experts at the Center for Intimate Health & Wellness are available to help in a confidential, supportive environment.
BIDMC's Division of Family Planning provides individualized care for our patients' reproductive health in a safe, respectful and welcoming environment. We’re here to support patients and their contraceptive (birth control) and family planning needs.
BIDMC's Complex Contraception Clinic provides comprehensive care for patients with medical conditions that could affect their birth control options.
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology within the Division of Gynecology is a collaborative effort with the Cancer Center, providing patients with comprehensive cancer treatment and support options.
Many patients hesitate to seek help for conditions like heavy menstrual periods, pelvic pain and other gynecologic-related issues, and this hesitation can diminish quality of life. Our gynecologic surgeons are skilled in treating these conditions and enjoy working with patients to find the treatment options that work best for each individual.
When surgery is indicated or desired, we offer innovative surgical treatments, focusing on providing surgery with smaller incisions, lower levels of pain, shorter hospital stays and faster return to activities of daily living.
Working with BIDMC's Division of Gynecology and Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology provides patients with a comprehensive set of care services to treat a range of conditions affecting the reproductive systems and glands, including infertility.
In partnership with Boston IVF, one of the largest IVF programs in the country, our reproductive endocrinology specialists provide comprehensive evaluation, advanced treatment options and compassionate support for fertility concerns to patients throughout the Greater Boston area.
We also provide treatment and support for a range of menstrual, adrenal and related fertility abnormalities.
The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology works with specialists throughout BIDMC, including the Division of Urologic Surgery, to provide male sexual health and fertility services.
The Division of Urogynecology offers a range of treatment options to women with a variety of bladder and pelvic conditions.
Our surgeons and physicians provide patients with advanced, evidence-based treatment options, including surgery and testing.
The Dysplasia Center is the first of its kind in New England to offer the most advanced diagnosis and treatment for abnormal cells of the lower genital tract (cervical, vaginal, vulvar and anal) associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) as well as precancerous lesions. In partnership with BIDMC's Gynecologic Oncology Program, we offer support and guidance to patients undergoing treatment for various precancerous conditions.
Patients of all genders are referred to our clinic for diagnostic, surgical or nonsurgical procedures. We offer the full range of screening and treatment options, and we’ll work with your primary physician or gynecologist to create a personalized treatment plan for you.
