The Division of Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) provides individualized care for your reproductive health in a safe, respectful and welcoming environment. Our knowledgeable team takes an individualized, confidential and respectful approach to your care.

Referrals

Our gynecology team works closely with BIDMC colleagues, community-based Ob/GYNs, primary care providers and other specialists to provide comprehensive consultations as needed. Our office reviews all referrals to ensure that you’re matched with a skilled provider and scheduled for the earliest possible appointment. 

Clinical Services

Experts in our Division of Family Planning offer comprehensive and confidential patient-centered care.

We offer:

  • Contraception counseling and provide provision of all hormonal, barrier non-hormonal and intrauterine contraceptive methods. We also can offer difficult removal or insertion of placement of intrauterine contraception and contraceptive implants.
  • In addition, we offer pregnancy options counseling and abortion services, including early medical abortion using the “abortion pill” as well as first and second trimester procedures for surgical abortion.
  • We also offer medical or procedural surgical management of pregnancy loss (miscarriage).

Complex Contraceptive Services

The Complex Contraception Clinic at BIDMC provides complete care for those with medical conditions that may complicate options for birth control. Our team of experts will work with you and other members of your health care team to develop a contraception plan. We personalize the plan to meet your unique needs.
