The Department of Medicine includes hundreds of faculty, staff and trainees dedicated to advancing the field of biomedical science — from bench to bedside. We are recognized nationally for the excellence of our faculty, which includes members of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Medicine.
We are also known for the magnitude and breadth of our research productivity. Each year, the Department earns research funding of more than $190 million, placing it among the best-funded medical school departments of medicine in the country.
