More About the Division

Care & Services

Our providers specialize in headache, migraine, and complex pain care, collaborating closely with the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care & Pain Medicine to treat a variety of conditions, including:

Headache & Migraine

Our physicians assess and treat headaches and migraines associated with neurological conditions, working closely with the Comprehensive Headache Center.

Neuro-Ophthalmology

Our neuro-ophthalmologists and colleagues in the Division of Ophthalmology specialize in eye care and surgery, diagnosing and treating disorders involving eye movements and visual pathways. Several neurological conditions affect the areas of the brain that control eye movements and relate to vision. When these areas are disturbed, symptoms may become debilitating and require specialized care.

Neurogenetics

Neurogenetics covers all aspects of the nervous system. At BIDMC, our general neurologists are integral in diagnosing and managing various specialty areas, including sleep medicine, neuro-immunology, muscular and movement disorders, epilepsy, cognitive neurology, and autonomic and peripheral nerve disorders. They guide patients to the appropriate neurology specialists based on their individual needs, ensuring a coordinated care approach. This reflects our commitment to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach across the Department of Neurology.
