The Department of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) offers rigorous, highly specialized and rewarding residencies, fellowships and additional medical education opportunities. We are passionate about training and instilling confidence in the next generation of imaging experts in a hands-on, trainee-driven, collegial environment.
With a central role in clinical service, teaching and research, the Department of Radiology performs more than 450,000 radiologic examinations each year. The department provides radiography, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, angiography and interventional radiology services to both the medical center as well as our affiliated health care facilities.
Program participants benefit from BIDMC’s status as an academic medical center, which ensures unique access to the most advanced procedures and sophisticated technology available.
About Our Radiology Alumni Community
The Department of Radiology proudly comprises a globally diverse alumni community. Some of our alumni have become chairs at major academic medical centers and heads of private practice groups both nationally and internationally. Our alumni have also pioneered technical advances in the fields of MRI and CT and have led impactful global health initiatives.
