Esophageal Surgery

Our thoracic surgery team specializes in the treatment of benign esophageal diseases and conditions, including the following:

Lung & Respiratory System Surgery

Thoracic surgeons are essential for respiratory system care. They provide specialized care for complex airway conditions, tracheobronchomalacia (TBM), chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), esophageal and pleural diseases, and more.

Our surgeons can perform these and many other procedures:

  • Lobectomy: Removes one lobe of the lung
  • Lung resection: Removes part or all of a damaged or diseased lung
  • Lung transplant: Replaces one or both diseased lungs with healthy lungs from a donor
  • Pneumonectomy: Removes an entire lung, usually due to cancer or injury

Together with cancer care specialists, our thoracic surgery team provides thoracic surgery and interventional procedures for gastrointestinal cancer, including esophageal cancer and chest cancer.
