The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) provides comprehensive evaluation and support for those with health conditions of the chest or airways. Specialty doctors work closely with nurse practitioners, nurses and respiratory and physical therapists to provide you with personalized care. Our team is experienced in treating both common and uncommon lung conditions.

The Medical Intensive Care Units (MICUs) care for those with critical illness. We have on-site critical care specialists 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The MICUs are located on BIDMC's East and West Campuses.
We offer consultation for those spending time in the hospital with a range of lung diseases and symptoms. The Pulmonary Consultation Service is available 24 hours/day, seven days per week on both East and West Campuses.
We also provide consultative services for a range of sleep disorders. This innovative inpatient service provides important support for managing sleep-disordered breathing. This includes care for those with surgery-related issues and heart failure.
