Special Testing: Pulmonary Functions Tests and Sleep
At BIDMC – Chestnut Hill, we are pleased to offer pulmonary function tests (PFT), which are breathing tests to measure how well your lungs are working. The most common lung function test is spirometry, which measures the amount of air your lungs can hold and how long it takes to exhale.
Our Sleep Disorders Center includes pulmonary and neurology sleep medicine physicians. We offer overnight and daytime sleep laboratory studies at our main Sleep Lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Needham and at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton. We also offer home sleep studies for our patients.
