Autoimmune Skin Diseases

Specialized care for autoimmune skin conditions

Multidisciplinary Treatment for Complex Skin Conditions and Autoimmune Diseases

Leaders from our Division of Rheumatology and Immunology and Department of Dermatology are partnering on innovative approaches to care for individuals with rheumatic diseases. At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), we’re proud to provide advanced treatment to patients with various autoimmune skin diseases.

If you have a complex skin condition or autoimmune disease, we offer specialized, disease-specific care. Our extensive research initiatives allow us to care for you with treatments based on the latest findings in the field. We also have access to ongoing clinical trials. Our autoimmune specialists support patients who have secondary systemic rheumatic and skin diseases, such as lupus, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

Rheumatology & Dermatology Collaborative Clinic

The Rheumatology & Dermatology Collaborative Clinic is BIDMC's premier effort in the treatment of complex skin conditions and autoimmune diseases. Our approach emphasizes advanced treatment for patients with secondary systemic rheumatic and skin diseases. We also provide patient education and social support.

You receive individualized therapy from experts in rheumatology and dermatology to target skin and autoimmune diseases at the same time. This provides an efficient, integrated management approach to care. If you need procedures that can be completed at the same time, they’ll be condensed into one visit for ease.
