Endoscopy & Colonoscopy Services

Endoscopy and colonoscopy are non-invasive procedures to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions. Our expert teams in the Division of Gastroenterology provide these procedures on both our East and West Campuses.

  • Endoscopy involves inserting a thin tube with a light and camera on its tip (endoscope) into a natural body opening such as your mouth or anus. We commonly use this test to look at your esophagus, stomach and small intestine. We also use it to look at, and sometimes treat, your pancreas and bile ducts.
  • Colonoscopy is a type of endoscopy. It’s commonly used to screen for colorectal cancer. We also use colonoscopy to diagnose and monitor inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

More information is available to help you prepare for your procedure.
