Referring Patients to the BIDMC Sleep Disorders Center

At the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Sleep Disorders Center, we provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of sleep disorders. We collaborate closely with external providers and organizations to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Scheduling a Patient Referral Appointment

To schedule an appointment for your patient, please call the Sleep Disorders Center at 617-667-3237. Depending on your patient’s referral, they may be seen by either a pulmonologist or a neurologist. If you’re unsure which specialist to select, schedule an appointment with any of our providers, and we will refer internally as needed.

• For a pulmonary sleep specialist, select option #1.
• For a neurology sleep specialist, select option #2.
• For the sleep laboratory, select option #3.

Collaborative Care with Referring Providers

Our Sleep Disorders Center serves as a regional referral center, offering specialized care for patients with a variety of sleep disorders. We ensure timely communication with referring providers throughout the patient's diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. Whether your patient is referred to a pulmonologist or neurologist, we coordinate with your practice to enhance their care experience and provide updates on treatment progress. If your patient requires a specific specialist, we’ll make internal referrals to the appropriate provider within the team.
