Clinical Trials at BIDMC
Review our current research studies.
Our Division of Global and Community Health, in collaboration with academic and community partners, is dedicated to improving health outcomes and addressing health inequities both locally and globally. Our research projects span diverse areas such as cervical cancer screening in Botswana, gender-based violence in humanitarian crises, and quality of childbirth care in rural Mexico.
Additionally, we focus on enhancing maternal and child health in Ethiopia, addressing perinatal mood disorders in Tanzania, and promoting equity in pregnancy care for immigrant communities. Through these efforts, we aim to make a significant impact on global and community health.
The Division of Global and Community Health was established more than 10 years ago as a pioneering initiative positioned within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to build upon BIDMC's longstanding commitment to service. Grounded in the pillars of an academic medical institution—clinical care, medical education and research—our providers seek to improve health outcomes and address health inequities in communities both locally and globally.
In collaboration with our academic and community partners, our faculty is involved in various innovative research projects that seek to improve health outcomes and address health inequities in communities both locally and globally.
