Meet Elizabeth Mittendorf, MD, PhD, MHCM, Our April Medical All-Star
On Friday, April 17, 2026, the Boston Red Sox honored renowned surgeon and researcher, Elizabeth Mittendorf, chief of Division of Breast Surgery within the Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), as a Medical All-Star.
An accomplished clinician and researcher, Dr. Mittendorf is a professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School and president-elect of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the world's leading professional organization for physicians and oncology professionals. She is also chief of multi-disciplinary oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and co-leader of the Breast Program for the Harvard Cancer Consortium.
