Nutrition & Dietetic Internship

Comprehensive Training in Clinical Nutrition

The BIDMC Dietetic Internship is a 10 month, full-time program with an emphasis on nutrition therapy. The program runs from September to June and provides 1,219 supervised practice hours. We enroll up to 8 interns per year.

Dietetic interns receive in-depth training in:

  • Outpatient counseling
  • Public speaking skills
  • Malnutrition diagnosis and treatment
  • Enteral nutrition support
  • Parenteral nutrition support

Interns also participate in weekly classes, group projects and academic lectures to foster learning and enrich the internship experience.
