Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Application Process
Applying for our Hematology/Oncology Program
Applications to the BIDMC Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program are accepted via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Applicants may apply to any number of the following tracks:
The application deadline is August 1. Regrettably, applications received after this date cannot be reviewed. Applications will only be reviewed once fully complete in ERAS.
Qualified candidates will be selected for interviews based on comprehensive review of applications by our selection committee. Qualified candidates indicating a Gold or Silver signal using ERAS Program Signaling (EPS) will be prioritized for interviews over those providing a geographic signal only or no signal; other very highly qualified candidates may be considered for interviews subject to availability. Applications from qualified candidates holding visas will be considered, aligned with current institutional and governmental policies.
Interview invitations will be extended during the months of August and September each year. All interviews will be conducted virtually during the months of September and October each year.
BIDMC participates in the National Residency Match Program.

- Dean's letter from medical school
- Medical school transcript
- Department of Medicine letter from residency training program
- A minimum of (2) and a maximum of (3) additional letters of recommendation
- USMLE I, II, and III scores
- Personal statement

BILH-Wide Mandatory Vaccination Policy
To protect our patients, colleagues and communities, BIDMC is requiring all clinicians (including fellows and residents), staff, volunteers and contractors, regardless of role or location, to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza. If selected for the Fellowship, individuals will be required to be vaccinated as a condition of employment.
