Referring Providers
BIDMC welcomes physician referrals and the opportunity to provide excellent care for your patients.
The Department of Neonatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) provides comprehensive medical oversight for all infants born at the hospital, ensuring that each newborn receives the safest and most effective care from the moment of birth. Our team specializes in the care of high-risk and critically ill infants, offering advanced treatments such as high-frequency ventilation, respiratory support and nutritional management.
In addition to neonatal intensive and intermediate care, we coordinate a full range of pediatric subspecialty services tailored to meet each infant’s unique needs. Our neonatologists work closely with obstetricians, nurses and other specialists to deliver family-centered, evidence-based care, supporting both short-term recovery and long-term developmental outcomes for our youngest patients.
The Department of Neonatology is also committed to developing the next generation of neonatology and perinatology specialists and engaging in research to improve the quality of care.
Through our NICU Family Advisory Council, Family Resource Committee, Family Communication Committee and other NICU parent advisory groups at BIDMC, we engage patients and their families to ensure our care providers meet the changing needs and preferences of you and your babies.
There are several other ways you can support the important work our physicians and staff members are doing at the NICU, including volunteering your time and leaving a financial gift.
