Understanding Brain Aneurysm
In most cases, a brain aneurysm only causes symptoms if it has ruptured (burst). If that occurs, you may have some of these signs and symptoms:
- Blurry or double vision
- Confusion
- Droopy eyelid
- Loss of consciousness
- Nausea and vomiting
- Seizure
- Sensitivity to light
- Stiff neck
If you don't get medical attention right away, serious complications like stroke can occur.
Brain Aneurysm Causes
There are two main causes of a brain aneurysm:
- Arteriovenous malformation
- Carotid body tumors
