Research Conduct & Conflicts of Interest
Conflict of Interest Policy for Research
Translating scientific and medical discovery into improved clinical care requires open collaboration and synergies achieved through thoughtful and complex partnerships with industry, government, academia and others. The mission of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is to provide extraordinary care, where the patient comes first, supported by world-class education and research.
All individuals who serve BIDMC and its patients are expected to put this mission first and foremost whenever conducting activities relating to BIDMC. To this end, BIDMC has implemented a conflict-of-interest policy specifically for research. This policy is compliant with the HHS Final Rule, Responsibility of Applicants for Promoting Objectivity in Research, 42 CFR 50.601 et seq.; 45 CFR 94.1 et seq. (revised September 2024).
