About Our Research

The primary interest of our laboratory is to elucidate molecular mechanisms of cell cycle control and telomerase regulation and to determine their roles in cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Specifically we have recently discovered a Pin1-mediated novel post-phosphorylation signaling mechanism, which is critical for cell cycle control, cancer and Alzheimer's disease, as well as identified the telomere protein Pin2 and the first endogenous telomerase inhibitor PinX, which are important for cancer and aging.
