Airyscan Module
This microscope system is equipped with Airyscan, a ZEISS technology for improved image resolution and signal-to-noise ratio. Airyscan uses a 32-element GaAsP photodetector that offers a 1.7 times increase in resolution in all three (XYZ) spatial dimensions and a 4-8 times higher signal-to-noise ratio compared with conventional LSM imaging platforms with 1-AU pinhole. More information on Airyscan can be found on the ZEISS website. For details and specifications, refer to this publication about Airyscan in Nature Methods.
