Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery Training
A one-year Advanced GI MIS (Minimally Invasive Surgery) Fellowship in the Division of Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery is offered to applicants who have completed training in General Surgery. The fellow is integrated into the Blackburn Service at BIDMC in Boston. The emphasis is on laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. The fellow will have exposure to gastric bypass, laparoscopic adjustable band, revision, reversals, hernia, endoscopy and robotic surgery. Based at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the program includes rotation to BID-Milton Hospital.
