Nicholas Zenquis joined the Division of Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) as an administrative assistant in October 2018.

Nicholas, also known as ‘Nic,’ performs a myriad of administrative tasks for the Center for Weight Loss Surgery and helps to facilitate weight loss surgery information sessions and post-operative support groups. He is a proven multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and has an upbeat attitude. Nic warmly greets patients to the Center, providing polite and professional assistance via the phone and email.

He is a positive presence in the workplace who anticipates the needs of our patients in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience.

Nic earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Massachusetts, Boston in 2017. He is currently enrolled in pre-requisite courses at Northeastern University with the hope to attend medical school in the future.

Previous to working in the BIDMC Weight Loss Surgery Center, Nic worked at the Medical Weight Management Clinic at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Kenmore Square.

Nic says that he always had a passion of working in the bariatric field.

“My favorite part of my job is to provide support to patients during their weight loss surgery journey,” Nic said. “I like helping people navigate their way through the process of weight loss to ensure the patient understands the resources available to them throughout the process as these needs change during and after surgery.”

Outside of work Nic loves to spend time trying innovative exercises to maintain his personal weight loss goals and searching for and cooking new healthy recipes.
