2021 Boston Heart Walk – Women & Well-Being
Virtual, Details Below
12:00AM - 11:30PM
Join Team BIDMC in Focusing on Women's Cardiovascular Health
Go Red for Women day in February is important to us – but every day at BIDMC, we work to prevent and treat heart disease, which continues to be the leading cause of death of women in the United States.
We are proud to partner in this fight with the American Heart Association and participate in the Boston Heart Walk. The walk raises funds to help fast-track research - while continuing the fight against heart disease and stroke. This work is vital because women are underrepresented in research, which means there's still more to learn about risk factors and treatment for heart disease.
Our 2021 co-chairs, Loryn Feinberg, MD, Director of the Women's Cardiovascular Program, and Melissa Spiel, DO, Assistant Director of the New England Center for Placental Disorders, represent the multidisciplinary care and treatment BIDMC offers women of all ages. We hope you will join us and walk for yourself or the women in your life. Please also encourage your friends and family members to be a part of our team.
