A Radiation Therapy Primer

Radiation therapy is often part of cancer treatment. It is used in the treatment of some early cancers, most often for breast cancer when paired with a lumpectomy/wide excision/partial mastectomy and sometimes after a mastectomy. Radiation is also useful in the treatment of metastatic cancer when it is most often targeted at bone mets.

Although many of us have laid our bodies down under the intimidating radiation machine, most of us don't really know that much about it. This is an excellent video and set of possible downloads from CancerNet:
