Digestive and Liver Disease Care

The Gastroenterology and Liver (Hepatology) service at Chestnut Hill evaluates and treats a variety of digestive diseases. These diseases and conditions, affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, liver, bile ducts, pancreas or gallbladder, include:

  • Polyps, tumors and cancers of the digestive tract
  • Chronic, acute and autoimmune pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer
  • Barrett’s esophagus and other esophageal disorders
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Gallstones
  • Liver conditions such as viral hepatitis, HIV/hepatitis co-infection, metabolic liver diseases
  • Inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Celiac sprue (gluten allergy)
  • Biliary tract disease
