About the Animal Metabolic Physiology Core


The specific objectives of the Animal Metabolic Physiology Core are:

  1. To teach
  2. To provide consultation in designing, performing and interpreting in vivo and in vitro studies to investigate glucose and lipids metabolism, insulin sensitivity, energy balance and the actions of insulin, leptin and other hormones that regulate energy balance
  3. To perform the listed studies on mouse (or rats models) created by or obtained by members of the Center

The Animal Metabolic Physiology Core also provides consultations and assistance on writing animal protocols for all services offered.
