Medical Students

The Department of Emergency Medicine at BIDMC provides medical students with exposure to a wide range of clinical, didactic and research experiences. 

Emergency Medicine allows medical students to develop their skills in the assessment and management of acutely ill patients. Students are also exposed to a variety of clinical procedures.

As a Level 1 trauma center with an annual volume of approximately 57,000 patients, the ED serves as the clinical training site for approximately 100 medical students each year.
