First year residents spend their first month in an intensive orientation program with one-on-one coverage, assignment of tutors, and extensive daily didactic sessions with a heavy emphasis on simulator training. Fiber optic bronchoscopy and airway management workshops are conducted during the initial training period and throughout the residency.
The first year schedule includes the following rotations:
