About the Center for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at BIDMC
The Center for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (CDEI) works closely with the GME DIA council to develop a vibrant community of interns, residents, fellows, and faculty, by providing one-on-one support, education, opportunities for career advancement, other programs that are designed to ensure academic success and wellbeing for faculty and trainees who are underrepresented in medicine (UiM).

An Inclusive BIDMC Community
BIDMC participates in Boston Pride For The People’s Pride Month celebration each year and recognizes employees at BIDMC’s Pride flag raising ceremony.
BIDMC hosts an annual Martin Luther King, Jr. program with guest speakers, musicians, and artists from the community.
Cultural celebration and recognition opportunities are part of Hispanic Heritage Month at BIDMC.
