The Radiation Oncology department offers the latest therapies and treatments with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained professionals for the treatment and management of cancer and other health conditions. Radiation Oncology can treat different types of leukemia, carcinoma, Hodgkin’s disease, sarcoma, and cancers of the breast, lung, liver, stomach, throat, etc. Radiation therapy delivers high energy X-ray radiation to the tumor while delivering very little to the surrounding healthy tissues. The Radiation Oncology team works closely with colleagues in the Departments of Surgery and Medical Oncology to ensure that all patients receive the very best care.
