Senior Health Primary Care
Primary Care for Seniors
Very often, patients over 65 choose to move their primary care to experts in senior health. A geriatrician and a team of senior health professionals work with patients not only to help them get well but also to help them stay well, in the long term.
That’s not all: if patients need to have any kind of surgery, we provide screenings and evaluations prior to surgery to promote a quick recovery and prevent complications after surgery. The geriatrician will also visit the patient when in the hospital to ensure continuity of care.
We also treat specific age-related health conditions including memory loss, falls, diabetes and blood pressure management, and emotional health. We can also help with medication management and nutritional counseling.
We treat and manage a variety of conditions, including:
- Arthritis
- Confusion and behavior changes
- Weight loss (failure to thrive)
- Incontinence
- Osteoporosis
- Pain control
- Sleeping problems
