Marleny Teixeira Is the Red Sox Medical All-Star for May 8

In honor of National Nurses Week, the Boston Red Sox welcomed Marleny Teixeira as our Medical All-Star. Marleny, a primary care nurse at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Bowdoin Street Health Center, consistently goes above and beyond in ways that elevate pediatric patient care, improve outcomes and strengthen the entire health center team.

In addition to her direct patient care, Marleny oversees the clinic’s vaccine program with precision and reliability. Of Cape Verdean descent, Marleny brings cultural and linguistic knowledge that is invaluable to connecting with a broad range of patients. Her presence fosters trust and improves communication, and her compassion extends to everyone, regardless of background. Marleny exemplifies what it means to be a Medical All-Star.
