From the Experts: All Things Celiac Webinar

Navigating the Change: Optimizing Midlife Health for Women with Celiac Disease

Join the Harvard Medical School Celiac Education and Research Program and the National Celiac Association for the second webinar in our 2025–2026 “From the Experts — All Things Celiac” series.

What does the current science tell us about women’s health and menopause in the patient with celiac disease? Maia Sharuk, MD, obstetrician-gynecologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) will discuss the primary changes and symptoms associated with the menopausal transition. Jacqueline Wolf, MD, celiac gastroenterologist at BIDMC, will review the connections between perimenopause, menopause, and celiac disease. Elizabeth Ward, MS, RDN, will cover how nutrition affects many of the biggest concerns women face during peri/menopause.

Katherine Olshan, MD, celiac gastroenterologist at the Center for Celiac Research and Treatment at Mass General for Children, will serve as moderator. Chris Rich, executive director of the National Celiac Association, will open and close the webinar. A Q&A session will follow the presentations; please submit general questions below or during the webinar.

Speakers will present on selected topics for 60 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A, on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm ET.
