Our Relationship with Referring Physicians

BIDMC's maternal-fetal medicine specialists work closely with community-based OB/GYNs, primary care physicians and other specialists to provide consults and ensure a safe and healthy delivery for patients at risk for pregnancy complications. We are available for a one-time consult, second opinion or to partner with you, as needed, to co-manage complicated cases.

Maternal Transport

Our maternal transport program supports hospitals throughout New England and has transported patients from as far away as Bermuda. We provide care for those requiring high-level maternal-fetal medicine services and/or a Level III neonatal intensive care nursery. Transport services are by ambulance, helicopter or plane.
