Greetngs from Dallas where I am attending a Board meeting of the NAPBC (National Accreditation Program For Breast Centers). I represent AOSW (Association of Oncology Social WOrk) on the Board and always enjoy the twice yearly meetings. In February, we gather for two days as the first day is dedicated to committee meetings. I am the vice chair of the Utlization and Access committee that has responsibility for collaborating with advocacy groups, individual women, and anyone else who is interested in insuring the availability of high quality breast cancer care.
We also have worked hard to add patient information and resources to the website and will continue to look for ways to make this accrediation and organization more relevant to patients/consumers. If you are interested, here is the link:
