Seasons Greetings!
I am very excited to inform you of our next Happy Holiday Hour with the Stupid Cancer organization! Being a local survivor diagnosed at the age of 28 with breast cancer, I have had many amazing experiences with finding support and networking with my peers. At my last Happy Hour with the Boston Chapter for Stupid Cancer, I met several young adult survivors and connected at a level that I had never experienced.
With the holidays approaching, I hear the need of many survivors wanting to socially network and celebrate life! Working with Joe Sent Me in Cambridge and The Low Sparks featuring Kevin Condon, I am pleased to announce our next Happy Holiday Hour. I am trying to spread the word and was hoping you could post our event on your local boards, email blasts, or websites.
Happy Hour | Boston
Date & Time: Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00
Event Description: Support cancer survivors in their 20s and 30s and come out to an official "Stupid Cancer Happy Hour", a different kind of social support mixer brought to you by the I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation, the nation's largest support organization for young adults affected by cancer. No pressure. No judgements. No stigma. No sitting around in a circle while sharing your feeling. No Kumbaya. Wear anything and bring anyone you want because this is about YOU and your local community of peers.
Come one, come all to chill out, make friends and hang with people who don't care whether you have one boob, one ball, two ports or even a hyperactive platelet count.
Venue: Joe Sent Me (2388 Massachusetts Ave . Cambridge, MA . 02140) www.joe-sent-me.com
Live Music: The Low Sparks http://thelowsparks2.blogspot.com/p/about-us.html
