On Friday, I drove to Providence to give a talk at the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Foundation's ( http://gloriagemma.org/) annual conference. It was a wonderful day, and, as always, the best part was the chance to speak with others who have been through this experience.
I was especially taken by a man named Everett Hoag whose huge personality and warmth made me (and probably everyone) feel as though we had been lifelong friends. He is responsible for a unique and fabulous program called the Thriving with Style Fashion Club. A community project of RIFASHION.COM, working closely with the Gloria Gemma Foundation, Thriving with Style is a rare breast cancer resource: something that is glamorous and fun.

The RIFashion team adds our creative vision and enduring emotional artistry to partner with Tina Grindeland from Dresses That Cure assist the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation and Wellness Center in our mutual mission to raise breast cancer awareness, increase breast health education, and generate funding for critical breast health programs that are in desperate need of being brought to fruition. Through his own experience as a son, brother, worker, volunteer and friend, founder Everett Hoag knows how easy it can be to lose our "self" in the business of life.
