Nutrition and the Cancer Survivor
There is so very much written about the impact (or not) of diet on health in general and cancer in specific. It is easy, especially soon after diagnosis, to become very caught up in all of this--worrying about every mouthful we eat and its connection to health. As far as I know, there is actually very little proven about any direct diet/cancer associations (beyond the obvious about nitrates and all the chemicals in processed foods). The bottom line, per most doctors, continues to be more or less what your mother hopefully taught you: eat a balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables.
