I have written before about the wonderful resources supported by Living Beyond Breast Cancer (www.lbbc.org). Here is information about a free teleconference next month that will address common employment concerns. The job market is tough enough without the added issue of a cancer diagnosis. If you have any work concerns, this would be a smart use of an hour in July:
Working Matters: What You Need to Know
Our July teleconference will focus on the impact a cancer diagnosis can have on your work life
Speaker: Rodney N. Warner, Esq.
Join Living Beyond Breast Cancer for our next free teleconference, Working Matters: What You Need to Know, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Tuesday, July 14.
Rodney N. Warner, Esq., of the Legal Clinic for the Disabled, Inc., will discuss the impact a cancer diagnosis can have on your work life and provide more information on employment issues, including:
- Your rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act

- How to handle workplace discrimination
- Strategies you can use to communicate with colleagues
