Many of you know that we have been trying for months to establish an online breast cancer support group It is surprising to me that the best way to do this turned out to be via Facebook. But, that probably just reflects my generational ignorance!
My enthusiasm has been motivated by an earlier experience with RevolutionHealth.com. For approximately a year, ending last November, I facilitated a marvelous online group that expanded to include several hundred women from all over the world. My expectations are a bit lower this time, primarily because BIDMC does not have the internet presence that Revolution Health did.
However, those months proved to me that we can, together, create something very powerful. Here are instructions about how to join. And I hope that you will!
Join the BIDMC - Breast Cancer Support Group
Instructions for Facebook Members
Log in to Facebook.
Type "BIDMC - Breast Cancer Support Group" in the search field box in the upper right corner.
Click "Join Group".
You will then have to wait to be accepted by one of the administrators of the group.
Once accepted you are free to start discussions, post comment, links, videos, photos for the group to view
Instructions for Non-Members
Go to BIDMC - Breast Cancer Support Group.
Click the green "Sign Up" button to create a FREE account.
Follow the sign up instructions.
After you have completed signing up, type "BIDMC - Breast Cancer Support Group" in the search field box in the upper right corner.
Click "Join Group".
You will then have to wait to be accepted by one of the administrators of the group.
Once accepted you are free to start discussions, post comment, links, videos, photos for the group to view.
