Gastrointestinal Cancer Research

The Gastrointestinal Oncology program (Drs. Sanjay Jain, Rebecca Miksad, Michael Goldstein) is involved in clinical and translational research activities.

Dr. Jain's research interests have included therapies for colon, esophageal and pancreatic cancers of new targeted therapies for both advanced and locally advanced tumors. Dr. Jain has been the principal and co-principal investigator on numerous Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC)-wide, industry, and cooperative group trials

Dr. Miksad's research goals are to improve oncology treatment decision making through better characterization of cancer patient outcomes, improved accuracy of clinical endpoints, assessment of the economic implications of cancer therapy and application of decision analysis tools. Dr. Miksad is interested in liver, pancreatic and biliary cancers.
