Quality & Safety at BIDMC

Each year, in conjunction with the Silverman Symposium, staff from across BIDMC are invited to summarize their improvement work in a standardized format that captures the essence of the project in a single page. This poster session features the work of Process Improvement Teams from across the medical center, and offers everyone the opportunity to share experiences and learn about efforts to improve Quality and Safety at BIDMC.

One cannot help but be impressed with the variety of problems, approaches, and solutions represented by these project summaries. It is especially important to realize that while BIDMC has a small staff of quality improvement professionals to facilitate projects, the vast majority of the work occurs by health care workers dedicating special time and effort to create positive change. It is this dedication and innovation that allows us to be audacious in our goals for the future, and confident of our success.
