Efforts to Improve Quality of Care
In December of 2007, the Board of Directors of BIDMC formally voted to support two audacious, long-term goals for improving the quality and safety of care for our patients.
These are not easy goals. Achieving this degree of excellence requires the ability to continuously evaluate performance, implement needed changes, and evaluate again - in multiple small ways and across all departments and disciplines.
Each year, in conjunction with Annual Operational Planning, BIDMC sets out its
Priorities for Improvement in Quality and Patient Safety. These Priorities establish the framework for specific efforts across the Medical Center, and many reflect on-going multi-year efforts. Learn more about our priorities, and the efforts of project teams across the Medical Center through the
Silverman Symposium which captures a variety of improvement efforts that reflects every staff members daily efforts to improve the quality and safety of patient care and patient satisfaction every day.
