Dear Dr. Warnke,

My family and I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to you and your team for the excellent care I received during my stay at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Making the decision about my care was the single most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make, but after meeting the people at BIDMC, the decision was clear. You and your team’s experience, skill, and unwavering professionalism were surpassed only by the compassion and genuine concern you showed for me. Without exception, everyone we met during my stay showed nothing but utter kindness and respect to me and my family. Additionally, the whole team was always so vigilant in providing the necessary information so that my family and I could make informed decisions. Of utmost importance was the careful explanations you provided of what I could expect and the patience you showed to make certain that I understood it all; it really made a difference.

The great care I received began the moment I checked in for my biopsy and continued right through my check-out after my surgery. I especially want to thank the many nurses who attended to me during my stay. I was so impressed when Nurse Robin who cared for me during my biopsy, she took the time to check in on me after my surgery; it really meant a lot to me. My stay at BIDMC was made so much more comfortable because of the many small acts of kindness I was shown. The quality of service I received is a direct reflection of the many wonderful people that cared for me and a true testament the type of world-class medical facility that BIDMC has become.

Sincerely,

David O’Hearn
