Bariatric Nurses

The Bariatric Nurse provide coordination of care, education and personal support throughout the weight loss surgical process. They coordinate all aspects of patient care with the help of the other team members. From the application, pre-operative evaluation and post-operative monitoring they are a resource of information regarding the procedures.


Linda Trainor, RN, BSN
Bariatric Nurse Coordinator

Linda began working as the Bariatric Nurse Coordinator and the Chief Editor of the BIDMC Weight Loss Surgery online newsletter since March of 2007. She received her BS in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts in 1992 and her associates degree in nursing in 1985 from Quinsagmond Community College. Prior to joining the Bariatric Clinic Linda was a Research Nurse at BIDMC in the hematology oncology department. Linda has extensive experience working as a professional nurse with medical surgical patients, obstetrical patients and oncology patients and over 16 years of experience as a nurse educator.
