Information Session and Support Group Details
This meeting will provide you with some highlights of the BIDMC program and reliable information on weight loss surgery. The session includes a comprehensive presentation on the Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band (LAP-BAND®), RNY Gastric Bypass, and Gastric Sleeve procedures by one of our Bariatric surgeons, Drs. Daniel Jones or Benjamin Schneider. We strongly suggest that you attend one of these free sessions prior to your first appointment. You do not need to sign up for this session, all are welcome. We invite you to bring friends and adult family members.

The Post-op Support Group:
This meeting is for all post-operative patients to gather, share experiences, get ideas, and most of all gain support from peers. Support group is a excellent opportunity to talk about your frustrations, victories, and challenges after WLS. Attending the meetings are highly recommended, and can be helpful for both someone one month out of surgery or five years out of surgery. So please come prepared with questions and willing to participate. Communication and openness are the keys to this groups success.
