John Giurini, DPM
Chief of Podiatry
Dr. Giurini is Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Chief of the Division of Podiatry and Co-Director of Wound Care-Hyperbaric Medicine at BIDMC. He received his medical degree from California College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed an internship in podiatric surgery at BIDMC. Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, his clinical interests include diabetic foot wounds, reconstructive foot surgery, and sports injuries of the lower extremities.
Thanh Dinh, DPM
Director of Residency Education
Dr. Dinh is Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and Director of Residency Education at BIDMC. She received her medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, and completed a residency in podiatric surgery at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. She completed a fellowship in podiatric surgery at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center in Israel. Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Dinh’s clinical interests include hallux valgus deformities in adults and adolescents, reconstructive foot surgery, and sports medicine.
Kevin Riemer, DPM
Dr. Riemer is Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School and on staff in the Division of Podiatry at BIDMC. He received his medical degree from Scholl College Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, and completed his residency and fellowship in podiatric surgery at BIDMC. Dr. Riemer’s clinical interests include diabetic limb salvage, charcot reconstruction, plantar fasciitis, repetitive stress injuries such as plantar fasciitis, sports medicine, and chronic to slow heal wounds.
Barry Rosenblum, DPM
Associate Chief of Podiatry
Dr. Rosenblum is Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and Associate Chief of Podiatry at BIDMC. Dr. Rosenblum received his medical degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, and completed his internship, residency, and fellowship in podiatric surgery at BIDMC. Board certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery, Dr. Rosenblum’s clinical interests include diabetic foot disorders, reconstructive foot surgery, and sports medicine.
Aristidis Veves, MD, DSc, MSc
Dr. Veves is Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and Research Director of the Microcirculation Lab and Joslin-Beth Israel Deaconess Foot Center at BIDMC. He received his medical degree from Aristotelion / University of Thessaloniki (Greece), his MSc from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manchester, and and his DSc from Athens Medical School in Greece. Dr. Veves completed his general medicine internship at Athens Naval Hospital in Greece, and completed his residency in general medicine at Tsaggari General District Hospital in Athens. His research interests include: vascular reactivity of the micro- and macrocirculation; etiology of diabetic foot Problems; pathophysiology of wound healing in diabetes; and the development of diabetic neuropathy and its interaction with skin microcirculation.
